About the Club
The PAOC Football Club was formed in 1926 and plays in the Adelaide Footy League (formerly the SAAFL). The Club has continually fielded sides in the competition, with the exception of 1942 to 1945 when the League went into recess for the war. The Club won its first Premiership in Division 2 in 1946 and has won a total of 34 Premierships across all grades, with 20 of those since 2008, the most successful era in the Club’s history. In 2016 the Club celebrated its 90th Anniversary and in that season achieved its first ever Division 1 Premiership. The Club won its second Division 1 Premiership in 2021 and continues to be a sustainable and successful Club offering Old Scholars of Prince Alfred College the opportunity to play Australian Rules Football at a high level in a social environment.Teams
The Club fields up to 5 teams each season from Division A1, A1R and C1 to D & E grade levels, catering for all levels of skill and commitment. Our A and B Grade teams train Tuesday and Thursday night with C / D / E Grades training Wednesday and Thursday night. The Club is coached by Old Scholar Craig Pitt who is assisted by Old Scholar and former AFL player Jack Trengove.
Park 9
In 2023, the Club established contemporary, fit for purpose, compliant change rooms with a community facility at Park 9 with the financial support of the College, the Association, the South Australian Government and many generous Donors.
Centenary
1926 to 2025 The Club is looking forward to celebrating its Centenary in 2026 with continuing success, a number of events and a publication of the Club’s proud history.
