After three years of Covid restrictions, 40 Old Reds met for dinner on Friday 26 August 2022 at Establishment in George Street to celebrate their time as students at the school, the lifelong friendships that were made and how PAC shaped and influenced them in their personal and professional lives.

The night became a challenge as both our special guest speakers from the Sydney Swans, Sam Wicks and Will Gould (2018) who were to be grilled on the couch by Matthew Wiesner (1985), were both called up to play finals for the Swans VFL team the day before and were unable to attend.

The new Headmaster David Roberts was committed to attending Intercol sporting events and David Cornish (1987), the Foundation Executive Officer who was to attend from Adelaide and respond on behalf of the new Headmaster to the loyal Toast, was unable to travel and a last minute apology.

Fortunately, PAOCA President, Alan Letcher (1966), was present and represented the school and provided an update on the latest news from Kent Town. Harry Murdoch (2008) proposed the Toast to the School. There were several Old Old Reds that made enormous efforts to attend, including Doug Pitman (1950) our oldest Old Boy present, who received a copy of the College’s 150th history book.

After a few drinks the night ended with George Condous (1984) leading the group with ‘tis the Princes first 18’ song and the Razzle Dazzle war cry which had the bar staff trembling!

We look forward to seeing all and more again in 2023.
