Canberra Old Reds and Blues marked the 30th ‘pearl’ anniversary of annual dinners at The Kingston Hotel in the national capital on Thursday 18 May 2023.
Founding dinner convener David Cornish (1987) regaled the 50-plus diners of the origins of the Old Reds dinner that began in 1993. He also spoke of his pride at the success of the unique format of the Canberra dinners that brought together Old Reds and Old Blues and their partners. David was joined by Headmaster David Roberts, PAOCA President Andrew Sullivan, PAOCA Executive Officer Mary-Ann Standish and St Peter’s College Headmaster, Tim Browning.
In the noisy hub-bub of the night, it was wonderful to see mixed tables of Old Reds and Old Blues down the back end of the room rekindling old friendships and starting new ones afresh.
