It was great to welcome some new attendees as well as the delegation from Adelaide including Association President Alan Letcher (1966), Executive Officer Mary-Ann Standish and Foundation Executive Officer David Cornish (1987).
Nick Broadbridge (2012) proposed the Toast to the School and reflected on a number of qualities of a Princes Man that he has drawn on in his own professional life in military service, especially whilst on deployment.
David Cornish responded on behalf of Headmaster Bradley Fenner and provided a heartfelt update on activities at the School including the life of the boarding community and the strength and resilience shown by the boarders and international students during the pandemic.
Alan Letcher reported on the Association’s activities and results in our contests against St Peter’s. Gifts were presented to our oldest attendee Chris Marlow (1960) and our two youngest Jack Pledge (2020) and Jackson Miller (2019) both of whom made the trip from Bond University.
There is a great spirit amongst the Queensland Old Reds and we wish Mr Fenner well as he moves on from Princes in 2022 and thank him for his regular past attendance at our Brisbane dinners.
