The service marked fifty years since the opening of the Eric Freak Memorial Chapel. Old Red and retired Architect David Hassell (1962) talked briefly about influences on the design of the Chapel and the role of his father Colin Hassell AO (1928) who was College Architect at the time. In addition, Andrew Marshall AM (1985) and his father, John Marshall OAM (Kings, 1960) of Marshall & Brougham Constructions, provided insights into the Chapel’s construction and its important presence in the heart of the College grounds.
