Scholarships for Old Scholars of Prince Alfred College

Torrie Chapman Tertiary Scholarship

Purpose:
The Torrie Chapman Scholarship supports a student undertaking tertiary studies in agriculture, or a related area, such as horticulture, agricultural economics, agribusiness, farm management etc. 

Selection:
Applicants are required to address the following in their application to the Headmaster, Mr David Roberts:

- proof of acceptance into a recognised tertiary course of study in agriculture, rural operations, animal management or horticulture
- statement of most recent academic results
- statement of their intentions regarding their proposed course of study and how that will assist in achieving their career goals.

Remission:
A grant of $2,500 will be paid to the recipient and provided annually until graduation, subject to proof of satisfactory achievement.


Wilfred Cooper Engineering Scholarship

Purpose:
The Wilfred Cooper Engineering Scholarship will be presented to an Old Scholar who achieves the highest results in a first year engineering course at the University of Adelaide, and who is enrolled for second year studies.

Remission:

The scholarship amounts to $10,000 payable over four years for the second to fifth years of study.


Rev Charles Perry Award

Purpose:
This award recognises the College’s first Chaplain and Old Scholar the Rev Charles Perry and is available to support an Old Scholar undertaking an approved course of Theological study.
